info!
The Crosswinds first annual open house and
membership meeting went wonderfully! Crosswinds collected a gross of nearly
$1,000 CASH plus hundreds of dollars in item donations, including 8 new
memberships and lots of happy young riders who enjoyed mini-horse, pony and
draft rides! A special thank you to our 3 keynote speakers, and to all the
volunteers without whom it could not possibly have been so successful! An extra
special thank you to the Martin family for bringing the little mini Rocky for
toddlers to ride!
The annual membership meeting also went
well, although only a handful of members were able to attend. The meeting was
attended by a quoram of board members and included reports of the financial
statements for 2003 and the first 2 quarters of 2004.
The two long-term raffles - the Hadancy
painting, and the queen sized quilt -- were begun and will be completed the
final weekend of October!
