Johnnie
Johnie is a huge, adorable weanling percheron colt with fantastic
breeding. Unfortunately, Johnie tangled in a barb wire fence somewhere,
and the injuries to his hind legs make him questionable as pulling
stock. As such, he was weaned out of a prominent amish herd, not wanting
to bank on him being a capable breeding stallion without being able to
have him able to pull as back up.
We purchased Johnie at a large Amish auction, including his
registration papers. Johnie was placed almost instantly with a nice
family in Oklahoma who are anxious to raise a draft youngster of their
own for a riding horse for her husband. Congratulations and enjoy your
new home, JOHNIE!
(Johnie's registered name is Sampson's Jerry. He is a grandson and
great grandson of Blackhome Duke, a VERY famous percheron stallion who
stood more than 18.3 hands tall. As a 7 month old weanling, Johnie
stands more than 15 hands tall!)
